Team News

There are some injury worries for the Gunners top among them being Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who despite being back in training will not be fit for this weekend’s match.

Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta could be back in the squad as they train to achieve match ready fitness.

Wenger goes on to mention that Danny Welbeck is suffering from a slight knee injury and has a small chance of playing which when coming from Wenger means he will be fit to face Liverpool.

On Sterling

With all the contract speculation surrounding Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling someone in the press corps had to ask the question about a possible Arsenal bid, to which the Frenchman replied: “Sterling is a top player.
Secondly, the ‘I’m not getting involved’: “I don’t want to get involved in that just 48 hours before game.”

Paulo Dybala Bid

With all the talk this week coming out of Italy saying that Arsenal has made a bid for Palermo striker Paulo Dybala, Wenger knocked all the rumours on the head saying Arsenal has not made a bid and that he has absolutely no interest in signing the Argentinian.
