An unknown Premier League club has made an offer for Liverpool striker target Carlos Tevez, and it is not Liverpool according to Sky Sports.

The Argentinian striker has just 12 months remaining on his current contract with Juventus and is being linked with a move to various clubs around Europe along with the possibility of him returning to Argentina to play for his hometown club Boca Juniors.

The sports channel is reporting that Juventus has received three bids for the 31-year-old one of which is believed to be from Atletico Madrid who is looking to replace Mario Mandzukic this summer after a falling out between the Croatian and trainer Diego Simeone.

Liverpool however could end up signing Tevez as they are the only club who would be willing to match his 4.5€ per-year salary, yet it still remains unclear who the secret bidder is.

Juventus Director of Sport Giuseppe Marotta said over the weekend that the chances of Tevez leaving in the summer were quite high.

“I’m not going to give a percentage of the possibilities of him staying – although it’s more likely that Carlos will leave than Pirlo.

“He’s a professional who we owe a lot.”
