TOP-RATED Striker Available for £55 Million

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have received a huge boost in their desire to sign £55 million transfer target Edinson Cavani this summer after a source close to the player admits he is looking for a summer move away from the Parc des Princes.

The Red Devils are preparing to get rid of Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie, while both Liverpool and Arsenal are in the market for a world-class striker to lead them next season.

‘There is no question that he will not stay one more season if the sporting situation doesn’t change. This is the bottom line,’ a source close to Cavani told Le Parisien.

‘Edinson understood that, in the interests of the team, he had to play on the right side and he has done that for two years now.

‘But that’s not to say that the position suits him.

‘He wants to play at the axis of the attack – his preferred position – and not only when Ibrahimovic is absent.

‘He needs continuity in that position to fully express the qualities that made him a top scorer in Italy.’
