Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham have all been placed on alert after learning that Valencia star Juan Bernat has failed to agree a new contract with the La Liga side.

The extremely versatile left-sided player played a key role for Valencia last season and despite the clubs desire to keep him at the Mestalla they may be forced to let the U-21 Spanish international leave according to Superdeporte and talkSPORT if they are offered what they consider to be a fair market price.

Manchester United were admirers during the time David Moyes was at the club with Spanish La Liga side Sevilla also showing an interest but it is Liverpool who may be the main player in any transfer battle knowing that the 21-year-old winger is equally capable at slotting into the left-back position.
