Manchester United and Tottenham are both watching the situation very closely after having found out that Colombian winger James Rodriguez is looking for a move following the World Cup.
The 22-year-old who plays for AS Monaco in France is also being linked in the Italian press to Napoli but it is Louis van Gaal and Mauricio Pochettino that will be eager to sign him for their clubs should he be available.
The attacking midfielder is being talked about as one of the brightest prospects currently in Europe, and his agent Aytekin Erayabakan has confirmed to talkSPORT that he has made no decision yet as to where he wants to be playing next season saying: “I can confirm that I have spoken with Napoli.
“(Aurelio) De Laurentiis is a great person and one of the best Presidents I have ever seen. But the Neapolitans are not the only ones that are following Rodriguez. Let’s see what the future holds.
“There are several European clubs after him, but it’s best not to say anything at the moment.
“How much will he cost? I don’t know. But what I can say is that his price has increased after the way he’s played these past few months.”
