U.K. radio station talkSPORT is claiming that Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling is nowhere near signing a new contract at Anfield.
There were reports suggesting that a deal was done and that he would sign when he returned from a short break in Jamaica.
TalkSPORT reporter Warren Haughton however thinks that is not the case saying: “There were suggestions he [Raheem Sterling] had agreed or was very close to extending his stay at Liverpool. My understanding is he is nowhere near agreeing a new contract with Liverpool.
“They have been speaking for a good few months now and he has already turned down one contract offer and they are nowhere near agreeing any new contract at all.”
