According to the Daily Mail Tottenham have come in and Hijacked Liverpool’s deal to sign Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno by offering £14 million plus the £8 million valued Etienne Capoue.

Spurs have also said that they will also allow striker Roberto Soldado to join the La Liga outfit on loan after the former Valencia front man failed to live up to his £26 million transfer fee last season at White Hart Lane.

Prior to the Spurs interest Liverpool were the front runners to sign the 21-year-old, but now Spurs new manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to make Moreno his first summer signing after making a left-back his top priority.

It remains unclear as to Seville’s reaction to this new offer, but the La Liga club will surely hope that the two Premiership sides will become involved in a bidding war that reaches the £25 million that they think the player is worth.
