With Barcelona leading them by 16 points in La Liga and Manchester United lying in wait in the Champions League, the Copa del Rey could provide Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid with their only silverware this season.

So it’s good to see the Special One is taking the competition seriously.

Mourinho flipped when Cristiano Ronaldo was allegedly tripped by Celta Vigo defender Andres Tunez on the edge of the box during last night’s Copa second leg at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo went down very theatrically but the referee decided a yellow card was adequate punishment for Tunez.

Jose, however, was adamant it should have been a sending off and jumped off the bench in a huff, stormed down the touchline while mouthing obscenities, grabbed a football and booted it down the tunnel in sheer frustration, narrowly missing one of his coaching staff.

The freak out would have been understandable had Real been losing, but they were two-up at the time and went on to win 4-0, completing a 5-2 aggregate win and a place in the quarter-finals.
