Liverpool target Adam Lallana and Manchester United target Luke Shaw will not follow their former manager Mauricio Pochettino to White Hart Lane according to talkSPORTS man on the south coast Alex Crook.

Following the departure of Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday there were fears that a number of high profile deals that were being put in place could fall apart if the Southampton youngsters decided to follow their former manager to his new club.

Crooks meanwhile thinks that Lallana and Shaw will complete their moves to Liverpool and Manchester United saying: “Nobody will be leaving or coming in until a new manager is appointed. That won’t stop bids being made of course, and you’re correct that with Pochettino’s departure, Southampton are clearly in more of a vulnerable position,” he told Kick Off.

“I don’t expect Luke Shaw to go to Tottenham or indeed Adam Lallana. Lallana said he wants to play Champions League football.

“There is interest from Liverpool and I think that would be more likely his destination.

“And my understanding is that Luke Shaw does have his heart set on a move to Manchester United. His parents have been house hunting up in Cheshire.”
