Say goodbye to LVG if Chelsea beats Manchester United

On Thursday reports doing the rounds claimed the a Sky Italia journalist had said that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United to take over from Louis van Gaal, with Spanish broadsheet El Confidencial later backing up the claim which was apparently confirmed by a source of theirs in Portugal.

Both sources have proved to be reliable in the past, which means Manchester United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has Mourinho ready to take the helm.

Now not to be outdone on the Mourinho front, Spanish radio station Cadena Cope are saying that while the most likely scenario is that the “Special One” takes over at the end of the season, he could step in should United fire LVG if the club lose this weekend to Chelsea.
