According to new Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti,  Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players he has ever worked with, and thinks that this coming season will be one of his best ever.

Ancelotti arrived in Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain to take over the manager’s job left vacant by Jose Mourinho just a short time ago, yet looks as if he is at the helm of a club that was designed just for him.

When asked about what he thought of their star player Cristiano Ronaldo, the Italian was full of praise for the 28-year-old.

“I’ve trained tons of talented players,” Ancelotti said. “But Ronaldo is a phenomenon. He has an incredible talent, physical quality, and I’m extremely happy to be able to coach him.

“He’s very professional, and I’m convinced he’s going to have a great season.”

Ronaldo was the second leading scorer last season with 34 goals 12 goals shy of Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi who scored 46, something the Portuguese striker would like to see turned around this coming season.

Real Madrid play a pre-season friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in Sweden on Sunday giving viewers a chance to watch both Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic trying to outscore each other.
