According to Spanish newspaper MARCA, Real Madrid have signed Manchester United target Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich for 25€ million with just a few minor details still to sort out.

The clubs were in negotiations for 48 hours, but have come to a deal for the 24-year-old German international that suits both teams.

The Spanish giants were able to take full advantage of Kroos contractual situation knowing that under normal circumstances they would have need to pay nearly twice as much to get Kroos to join them.

Kroos had one year remaining on his current contract with Bayern Munich and had refused to sign another after being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford while David Moyes was still in charge of the club.

Since then the arrival of Louis van Gaal Manchester United’s interest cooled allowing Real Madrid on paper at least allowed to snap up what very well be the bargain of the summer.
