Arsenal, Real Madrid

Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria had been looking for reassurances from Real Madrid as to his future at the club before the World Cup got underway yet here we are nearly a month later and still no news from the Spanish giants leading the 26-year-old to admit that it might be time for him to move on.

There has never been a big affinity between Di Maria and the fans after Real paid Benfica 30€ million for him four-years ago despite the fact the winger has gone on to win La Liga the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, he may well feel that he has paid his dues to the club and it is time to move to a team where his talents will be more appreciated rather than playing in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Italian trainer Carlo Ancelotti has done his best trying to assure him that he is wanted dropping other players on occasion to allow him to play while also promising him a more important role in the team according to MARCA.

For us here at Soccer Transfers we see no way back now for Di Maria at the Santiago Bernabeu, but Real will slap a 50€ million price tag on the Argentinian that will scare off all but the big clubs which include Arsenal the question is whether Wenger is willing to pay that kind of money for a winger when an all-out striker seems to be top of his agenda.
