German sportswear manufacturer and new Arsenal kit provider Puma is according to the Daily Express putting pressure on Arsenal to sign Italian international striker Mario Balotelli before the official kit launch on July 10th.

Arsenal has been heavily linked in a move for the 23-year-old and are said to be preparing a bid of £27 million which they feel will be sufficient for his current club AC Milan to let him go.

The sale of Arsenal shirts rose significantly after the club signed Mesut Özil from Bayern Munich last summer, and now Puma is hoping that the Gunners signing of Balotelli along with the kit launch will see sales take off.

Meanwhile it remains to be seen if the north London’s clubs negotiations with the volatile Italian progress well enough to fulfil Puma’s wishes and have him at the Emirates before the new kit is unveiled.
