Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye could return to the Premier League this summer after dropping hints that he could leave the French champions.

The 29-year-old moved from Newcastle to Paris for £19 million in January of 2014 yet has struggled to claim a starting spot in trainer Laurent Blanc’s star studded team.

With Euro 2016 fast-approaching Cabaye is worried that a lack of playing time will cause national team coach Didier Deschamp not to select him.

This has now alerted both Arsenal and Liverpool to follow the situation closely as both Wenger and Rodgers know what the French international could bring to their teams.

“It is a distinct moment in my career. I have never been through this before,” Cabaye said while appearing on the TV show Canal Football Club.

“One has to accept it but also try to change it. It is super important for me, I want to play at Euro 2016.

“I need to speak to the [France] boss [Deschamps] and my representatives to see what is best for me.”
