Still fearful that they will lose David De Gea to Real Madrid despite earlier comments today suggesting he had agreed a new two-year deal with the club the Metro is reporting that United will persuade Tottenham to let French international Hugo Lloris move to Old Trafford for Victor Valdes and £25 million in cash.
Spurs were already considering making a move for the former Barcelona No.1 if Lloris was to leave in order to play Champions League football and United has now jumped the gun willing to put the two-deals together should the Spaniard return to Madrid.
This move would be welcomed by the 33-year-old Valdes who has hardly played under manager Louis van Gaal and would jump at the chance of a new challenge that includes first-team football.
