According to reports this Sunday French champions Paris Saint-Germain is involved in talks with Manchester United over Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria.
The 27-year-old former real Madrid man found himself frozen out of manager Louis van Gaal’s team for most of the second half of the season with reports suggesting the Dutchman has told him he is free to leave if a buyer comes forward.
Since Uefa relaxed the Financial Fair Play restrictions reports in France say that the Qatari backed club is now free to spend again and is making a move for Di Maria, who they were unable to sign last summer due to financial restrictions placed upon them.
Di Maria eventually signed for Manchester United for a British record £59.7 million, but thanks to the Argentinian’s performance in the Premiership last season United is well aware that if they sell they will have to be prepared to take a loss.
