Manchester City will make Liverpool a third bid of £45 million plus £5 million in add-ons to land star forward Raheem Sterling as the oil-rich backed club kick off what is expected to be a £191 million summer spending spree which will include not only Sterling but, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, Wolfsburg’s Kevin de Bruyne and Fabian Delph of Aston Villa.

 

 

Manchester City is now free to splash the cash after UEFA officially lifted Financial Fair Play restrictions on spending and squad size which means cash rich clubs such as City and Paris Saint-Germain are now free to plunder the market for the world’s best talent.

 

 

First on manager Manuel Pellegrini’s hit list 20-year-old Raheem Sterling who is due to report to Liverpool’s Melwood training complex tomorrow morning, with it understood that he will not be there for long, as City hopes to get their business done before they jet off to their pre-season tour of Australia later this month.
