Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert is a potential loan target for Premiership strugglers Crystal Palace, Hull, West Broom and QPR who all see the Liverpool boyhood fan as a potential loan target as they hope to avoid relegation according to Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

Despite Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers not putting the 32-year-old available for loan, there is the feeling at Anfield that should a fellow Premiership club make an offer Rodgers may be tempted to let him leave until the end of the season now that Daniel Sturridge is fully fit.

Lambert joined the club he has supported all his life last summer from Southampton in a deal that cost the Merseyside’s £4 million, and has more often than not had to be content with playing a substitutes role often coming on for the last ten or twenty minutes whenever the Reds have been behind in a match.

Fellow Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is available for sale, but should no offers come in Liverpool may just let Lambert go out on loan to cut down some of the clubs wage bill.
