Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have been left disappointed after January transfer target Sergio Busquets prepares to sign a new deal with Barcelona.
The Catalan giant’s lack of form under new manager Luis Enrique, which includes a 1-0 loss to David Moyes Real Sociedad last night, has seen a number of Barcelona players linked with a move away from the club.
Barcelona is now however prepared to offer the 26-year-old Spanish international a new contract that will keep him at the only club he has ever played for, after having come up through the academy to make his first team debut in 2008.
