Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been told that Real Madrid central defender Raphael Varane is available for £20 million.
Both teams are looking to sign a centre-back this January and French international Varane is considered to be a top target for both clubs.
The 21-year-old continually fails to make it into Carlo Ancelotti’s first -team which has both Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho hoping they will be able to temp him with first-team football.
According to reports out of Spain carried by the Daily Express Real Madrid would be willing to sell, but not for less than £20 million.
Currently the club is busy offering Pepe a lucrative new contract and would like to give home grown defender Nacho more playing time by letting Varne leave.
