Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin was the one player the Saints were not willing to sell last summer, and now we can see why as he helps Southampton to start the New Year fourth in the Premiership table.
The French international was considered to be the perfect defensive midfielder for Arsenal as the club goes after a holding midfielder and centre-back during the January transfer window.
During an interview with Telefoot the 25-year-old confirmed he would be staying at St Mary’s until the summer saying:
“It’s always difficult to leave in January.”
“I think I’ll finish the season at Southampton and we’ll see what will happen next. I don’t set my mind on these things anymore.”
