Premier League clubs line-up to sign Polish international CB

Manchester United has been given a boost in their desire to sign Torino captain Kamil Glik after the Serie A clubs president Urbano Cairo said he would be open to offers for the Polish international defender.

While speaking to Italian daily Tuttosport about the 27-year-old centre back Cairo said: ‘He has a contract until 2017 and he is very valued.

‘If an offer arrives that values him importantly then we’ll evaluate it, but by the end of June.’

Meanwhile Glik has been on the radar of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal for some time, as the Dutchman seeks to bolster his defensive options, and given Glik’s experience and the fact he has scored nine goals for the Italians this season it is no wonder Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in acquiring his services.

Another big selling point for the Pole is unlike Mats Hummels and a few other big name defenders Glik could be available for less than £8 million.
