Liverpool are set to hand ex Newcastle player an escape route back to the Premier League. According to the Dailystar, Haten Ben Arfa may return to the Premier League. The Reds have launched a bid for the winger.

The details of the bid are still undisclosed but we are made to understand that the player is eager to join a club in the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool are hopeful of winning the Europa league and that is their only chance of playing in Europe’s first tier club competition. They are reportedly willing to sign the 29-year-old who has revived his career after having a dismal end to his Newcastle days and tagged a flop by the media.

He has slotted into the Ligue 1 and continues to bang in goals for OGC Nice. Having scored 17 goals in all competition for his current club so far, he is having the season of his life – the major reason why top clubs in Europe are reportedly jostling for his signature. He is also being chased by AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.

With Daniel Sturridge currently at loggerheads with Jurgen Klopp, Ben arfa could yet be the reliable replacement should the striker decides to call his time at Anfield.

French outlet RMC reports that Ben Arfa is set to hold talks over his future in the first week of May.
