News out of Turkey this morning is that it looks like Dutch international Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving Galatasaray to join either Manchester United or Juventus this January.

According to the players agent the 30-year-old midfielder would cost any club that wanted to sign him at least £20 million before the Istanbul club would let him leave.

“The Galatasaray board told me that they won’t sell Sneijder,” the agent told Bugun TV. “Wesley loves Galatasaray and the fans. Both he and his wife Yolanthe want to stay in Istanbul.

“If Juve are really interested in him then they’ll have to negotiate with the Galatasaray board, not with me.

“Also, any club who wants him will have to pay the €20m release clause in his contract. Not €5m, €10m or €12m.”
