Experienced defender Kolo Toure admits that he is in the dark over his future at Anfield, and is not sure if the club will offer him a new contract after this season.

The Ivory Coast international plays his last game for Liverpool tonight against Wimbledon in the FA Cup, before jetting off to join his brother Yaya to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 33-year-old has said he has heard nothing about a new contract even though his current deal expires in the summer.

“If I get the chance to stay for another year I will be happy but it’s not up to me,” said Toure. “If I was going to stay I would maybe have expected to hear something by now.

“I don’t think too much about the future. I will enjoy every single minute at this club and keep giving 100%.”
