Aurelio De Laurentiis the president of Italian Serie A side Napoli has laughed off speculation linking Arsenal to Napoli star winger Lorenzo Insigne according to the Evening Standard.

Last weekend the 23-year-olds agent said that Insigne was ‘honoured’ that a club such as Arsenal were interested in signing him.

Napoli chief De Laurentiis however when speaking to Repubblica said: “Arsenal offers 20 million for Insigne? This makes me laugh. I want to make Insigne rise to a value of 60-70 million.”

The Italian owner also ruled out a move for Tottenham’s Erik Lamela, but did say lamella’s teammate Sandro was a player they were interested in:

“Rumours about our interest in him (Lamela) are only agent’s games. I wanted him a year ago but they didn’t allow the deal. Roma offered us (Pablo) Osvaldo instead.

“Now, with (Rafael) Benitez, we don’t need Lamela anymore.

“Sandro? He’s one of our targets, but not the only on.”
