Paul Pogba

Manchester United manager David Moyes has held talk with Beppe Marotta Juventus’s chief transfer negotiator in an attempt to sign Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal according to the Daily Mail.

After seeing Juventus come back from 1-0 down to win 4-1 at the weekend against Cagliari and maintain their lead on top of Italy’s Serie A the Manchester United manager sat down to discuss his transfer plans with the clubs top administrator.

Unfortunately the United boss may not have got the kind of answers he was expecting to hear after being told that it may be difficult to entice Pogba back to Old Trafford and that if he wanted to sign the Chilean midfielder Vidal he would have to wait until the summer.

When Pogba left United Zinedine Zidane called it ‘the biggest mistake of Sir Alex Ferguson’s career’, yet Moyes is hoping that he can lure the youngster back despite the cost.

Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Pogba which means his asking price could well be over £40 million and while the thought of playing in his home town of Paris is appealing he has not ruled out a second spell at Manchester.

For the moment though Juventus would like to hold onto both players with Morotta saying:  ‘From our point of view, we do not want to sell Pogba and, so far, we have closed the door to any possible buyer.’

Sadly for Moyes those close to Morotta say there is no way that he can be convinced to part with players before the summer.
