Manchester City midfielder James Milner is out of contract this summer at the Etihad with it being assumed that he would be joining Liverpool on a free transfer.

British daily tabloid newspaper the Sun however is claiming that the 29-year-old will snub Liverpool in order to join Arsenal instead.

Milner joined City in 2010 from Aston Villa in a £26 million transfer and has gone on to play nearly 200 games for the club.

There will be plenty of interest from other Premiership clubs for the England international, but if the Sun is correct the Emirates is his preferred destination where he will be welcomes with open arms by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who has previously commented on how highly he rates Milner.
