According to reports Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to bid on Liverpool speedster Raheem Sterling in order to get the jump on Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal as they all ponder bidding for the 20-year-old.
Sterling would appear to be heading for the exit door at Anfield after refusing to sign a new contract with the Merseyside club leading the Daily Mirror to suggest that Manchester United will test their resolve with a bid of £25 million.
Liverpool however will be looking to sell the England international for closer to £50 million and is expecting a bidding war to breakout between the other interested parties.
