According to reports in France Manchester United is preparing a £25 million bid for Tottenham No.1 goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as the club gets ready for life after David DE Gea leaves to join Real Madrid.
The 28-year-old French international is an obvious choice for Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal after having watched the Frenchman put in consistently fine performances since moving to White Hart Lane in 2012, and knows he would make an excellent replacement for the young Spaniard.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino meanwhile will be unhappy at the prospect of losing the much admired shot-stopper but may be powerless to stop it if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy sanctions the deal.
