According to reports coming out of Portugal this morning Manchester United is in pole position to sign Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan.
Both of Portugal’s top football reporting newspapers, A Bola and O Jogo claim that United are favourites to sign the 27-year-old Argentinian just so long as they meet Benfica’s valuation.
Gaitan has been on Manchester United’s radar for some time now and with Benfica openly willing to sell, United needs to move quickly before Atletico Madrid signs him to replace Arda Turan.
