With it now looking 100% certain that Dani Alves will be leaving Barcelona this summer, Manchester United will find still opposition from the Catalan club who have also earmarked Torino full-back Matteo Darmian as the Brazilian’s replacement.
The 25-year-old Italian international is being tracked by a host of big clubs following his success in Serie A and now has Torino bracing themselves for a summer bid.
United does have the advantage though as Barcelona are powerless to do anything until the transfer embargo they are under is lifted in January which will allow United to get a deal done this summer if Louis van Gaal is serious about bringing Darmian.
