Everton tried in January to sign Manchester United’s Belgium international winger Adnan Januzaj, and are said ready to test United’s resolve again this summer knowing that manager Louis van Gaal plans to have a major clear-out at Old Trafford as he brings players in to suit his style of play.

Paris Saint-Germain also expressed an interest during the winter window, but United were unwilling to let any players leave midway through the season.

Januzaj has failed to establish his place in LVG’s team only making eight starts all season, and last played when coming on as a substitute in the loss to Arsenal on March 9th.

The 20-year-old has also seen his international options diminish as well after Belgium dropped him for the recent internationals which could mean him not featuring in Euro 2016.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez thinks that the winger could thrive at Everton, but he could face stiff opposition from the French Champs as United try to sign Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos quite possibly using the young Belgium as part of any deal.

Here at Soccer Transfers we think the most likely option would be for United to trade Angel Di Maria in a deal with PSG and sell Januzaj to Everton or David Moyes new club Real Sociedad and then use the funds for Memphis Depay whose arrival at Old Trafford makes the Belgium surplus to requirements.
