Big blow to Premiership after Juventus makes Cavani No.1 SUMMER TARGET

Reports coming out of Italy claim that Italian champions Juventus have earmarked Paris Saint-Germain striker as their number one summer target leaving a host of Premiership sides including Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to rethink their plans on getting the 28-year-old to move to England.

With it very much looking like Juventus will be flush with cash following the sale of Paul Pogba the Old Lady will try to tempt the Uruguay hit man back to Italy where he previously enjoyed a most productive spell playing for Napoli.

Manchester United could however still hold the trump card in Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria after a deal fell through for him to join PSG last summer opening the door for United to tempt the Parisians for a player and cash deal for Cavani.

Cavani’s agent Claudio Anellucci mentioned the possibility of his star player leaving Paris just a few days ago telling Gazzetta dello Sport: “Is Cavani on the market? At this point it’s a little early to say.

“Edi is under contract at Paris Saint-Germain and there are several factors that come into play with respect to his future.

“Once the situation is clarified there are several different scenarios given that players like him, at his level of maturity, are coveted by the biggest clubs in Europe.

“The market would seem to suggest Spain or England – we can’t say at the present time that an Italian club could participate in the bidding for Cavani.

“However, we must remain alert to the developing situation at Milan and the recent change of ownership at Valencia.”
