Manchester United is said by the Daily Mirror to be preparing a bid of £24 for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan despite the fact he has not played since August due to a back injury.
United boss Moyes is said to be an admirer of the 23-year-old German international ad would like to sign him for United this January.
The paper claims that talks have already taken place between representatives of Gundogan and United who are very keen to bolster their midfield.
Gundogan has a further 18-months remaining on his contract with the Westphalia side and has been urged by the Bundesliga club to make a decision on his future.
