He arrived with big expectations and will leave without any Manchester United fan arguing against it.

We are of course talking about Colombian striker Radamel Falcao, who joined the Red Devils on a season long loan from Monaco with United having the option of making it a permanent move by paying a further 55 million euros to the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season.

On Wednesday L’Equipe, who are normally right about what is going on in the world of football reported that Manchester United has already told Monaco that they have no interest in signing Falcao at the end of the season.

The decision according to the French sports newspaper was made in mid-February when Falcao had to be replaced after 60 minutes against Preston in the FA Cup.

Saying this however should Falcao, who is expected to start tonight against Newcastle United go on a goal scoring run between now and the end of the season all bets will be off with the Red Devils doing a U-turn to keep him at Old Trafford.
