Both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Manchester United misfit winger Angel Di Maria and while the bosses at Old Trafford would be willing to sell the club is eager to get back most of the £59.7million they paid to Real Madrid for the Argentinian forward last summer.

Bayern Munich meanwhile is looking to revive their Champions League fortunes and has put Di Maria along with Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling on their wish list of summer transfer targets.

As for French giants Paris Saint-Germain the signing of Di Maria is not so simple as they are still hampered by FFP regulations, but would be willing to use 27-year-old Holland international right-back Gregory van der Wiel as part of a player and cash deal.

Di Maria has struggled to adapt to life in England, and would according to various reports prefer a move back to Spain where he speaks the language, but failing that may relish the chance to work with former Barcelona manger Pep Guardiola in Germany.
