manchester united,

With former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho now counting down the days before he will take over at Old Trafford the Northwest giants are already preparing to get rid of some of their underperforming stars before the Portuguese manager takes charge.

Top among the Red Devils rumoured by the Sun to be for the axe is £25 million PSV winger Memphis Depay following the Dutch youngsters inability to tie down a staring place in Louis van Gaal’s team.

Along with the 22-year-old for the axe is former Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, after the French international failed to live up to his all-star billing.

Add to this defender’s Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo and you will see that Mourinho has a major rebuilding job to do if he wants to take Manchester United back to the top of the league following two disappointing seasons under LVG.

This summer’s dealing will hopefully go a long way in repairing the damage that the 64-year-old former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has done to the team and will we all hope bring attacking football back to the Theatre of Dreams.
