Manchester United received the news they were waiting for yesterday when reports out of Germany suggested Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller was looking for a move away from the Allianz Arena.
The 25-year-old German international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past, and it is believed that Louis van Gaal is keen to lure the striker to the theatre of dreams already having coached him while manager at Bayern Munich.
“According to reports, Muller is desperate for a change of scenery and has told his agent to secure him a move away from the Allianz Arena.”
This news now comes as a big shock when just a few months ago Muller said he had no desire to leave Germany.
He said: “It’s no secret that Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes a little beyond the normal relationship between coaches and players.
“[But] I have a contract with Bayern Munich until summer 2017.”
