manchester united,

According to the Daily Mirror Manchester United has entered the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The 26-year-old Gabonese international has emerged as one of Europe’s most wanted strikers with Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal all thinking about making a January bid.

The attention for the man who is known to have donned Batman and Spider man masks for goal celebrations has now certainly heated up with the arrival of Manchester United on the scene and a manager in Louis van Gaal who is prepared to pay what it takes to land the players he wants.

Van Gaal has watched the Dortmund star play several times this season and now appears ready to fork out Dortmund’s valuation of £42 million in order to bring him to Old Trafford and help the Red Devils find the back of the net more often, something they have been finding difficult to do of late.

Aubameyang has scored 22 goals in just 18 games so far this season, and is just the type of pacy forward that LVG like’s, possessing the ability to play as an all-out striker or out wide on the wings.

With him on board and perhaps another player or two to iron out the quirks it would be hard not to imagine Manchester United winning the Premiership this season.
