Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is hoping to temp Chelsea right-back Branislav Ivanovic to move to Italy when the player becomes a free agent in the summer by offering him a very lucrative two year deal according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea has a strict policy of only offering one year contract extensions to player over the age of 30, and while the 31-year-old Ivanovic was hoping to extend his seven year stay at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has yet to make any moves over a new contract.

The Serbian international agent Zoran Krneta said just last month that he expected his client to sign a new contract with Chelsea in January when he becomes eligible to speak with other clubs, but left the door open to a possible move to the San Siro by saying “in football everything is possible.”
