Red Devils assistant manager Ryan Giggs has apparently lost all faith in last summer’s £25 million signing, Dutch winger Memphis Depay.

The 22-year-old Netherlands international moved to Old Trafford from Dutch Eredivisie team PSV Eindhoven with big expectations following Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal’s knowledge of the winger during his time in charge of the national team.

Despite high expectations the fiery winger has failed to adjust to the Premier League and had to be spoken with by Giggs over his poor attitude.

Now despite the big price tag Depay has found himself on the side-lines, while Lancashire born Jesse Lingard gets the nod for LVG’s starting XI.

And, according to British daily tabloid the Sun, Giggs is said to be in ‘despair’ at Depay’s poor attitude this season following a series of bad performances that could very well see United cutting their losses and moving the bad apple on.
