It would appear as though Manchester City may have met their match in the financial department when they offer Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg £50 million for assist king Kevin de Bruyne after reports suggest French Champions Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the 24-year-old midfielder.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has made Paul Pogba, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne his top three priority signings , but with representatives of the Qatari backed Ligue 1 side already telling Wolfsburg they are prepared to meet the Germans asking price the ball is in City’s court to come back with a better offer for the Belgium international.
