Manchester City and Liverpool try to IRON-OUT Raheem Sterling transfer

According to sources connected with Sky Manchester City has contacted Liverpool and the two clubs are in dialogue over the possible transfer of Raheem Sterling to the Etihad.

Manchester City has already had two bids turned down for the 20-year-old England international and are now though to be ready to present their final offer to the Reds, which is expected to be in the region of £45 million plus another £5 million in add-ons that should be enough for Liverpool to let the want away forward move on.

Sterling meanwhile returned to training today at Melwood after having called in sick the previous two days with a mystery illness, but according to reports is still unwilling to join the Reds on their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia which begins on Sunday.
