LVG WARNS New Signing You Are Not IN Holland Anymore

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has warned new boy Memphis Depay that he is going to face a tough time playing in the Premiership.

So far the 21-year-old former PSV winger is the only new signing so far this transfer window for United, but LVG did say that Torino right-back Matteo Darmian was flying in today to complete his medical before signing for the club.

Depay was the top-scorer in the Dutch league last season, but van Gaal has told him to expect a culture shock when it comes to football in England.

‘I think he’s one of the few high-talented boys of his age in the world,’ said Van Gaal.

‘And you can hear he is full of confidence but he will notice it is not so easy in the Premier League.

‘It is a big difference with the Dutch league. There’s always pressure on the ball, it’s physical, and the resistance is high. So it’s not easy. I have said to him but he is full of confidence so he will say he is thinking and feeling.

‘But I know it is not so easy and also players like (Marcos) Rojo, (Angel) Di Maria and (Daley) Blind have had problems. So we have to give him time also.’
