Since arriving at Old Trafford Louis van Gaal has invested £250 million on new signings and let a quality striker in the form of Javier Hernandez leave the club for a paltry £7 million, only to go on and score more goals for Bayer Leverkusen than the entire Manchester United team could muster since the start of October, a decision that has several Red Devils fans tearing their hair out.

The cracks in LVG’s façade are slowly starting to show following six games without a win as was evident in the Dutchman’s press conference ahead of Boxing Days clash with Stoke City.

After having answered just three questions the 64-year-old decided that he had had it with the press, wished them all a Merry Christmas and stormed out.

The truth of the matter is van Gaal is living on past glories, and is struggling to adapt to life in the Premier League by playing a possession based game that quite honestly fans of the once mighty Manchester United do not want to see played at Old Trafford.

It is time to let Ryan Giggs take the reins and let the Welshman bring the fast attacking football back to the Theatre of Dreams.
