Liverpool is set to sign Paris Saint-Germaine striker Ezequiel Lavezzi before Monday’s deadline according to METRO.

The 29-year-old Argentinian is said to be unhappy at the Parc des Princes and has fallen out of favour with coach Laurent Blanc after deliberately missing the clubs winter training camp in Morocco.

Currently Liverpool have relied on young Raheem Sterling up front with strikers Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert all having trouble finding the back of the net.

England striker Daniel Sturridge is set to make his return against West Ham after having been out since late August with boss Brendan Rodgers knowing that should he get injured again the Reds will once more struggle for goals.

If the can sign Lavezzi it would give an edge to the team as they try to finish in the top four and compete in next seasons Champions League.
