According to METRO Arsenal is prepared to sign Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic for £26 million after the 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Spanish club thanks to a resurgence in form of Fernando Torres.
Arsenal has been linked to Mandzukic since his time at Bayern Munich and may now face competition from Manchester City, but the Daily Express says the Gunner are prepared to pay as much as £26 million for the goal machine.
The Express claims Mandzukic will leave Spain before Mondays deadline, the question is will it be the Etihad or the Emirates where he ends up.
