According to METRO quoting news out of France, Arsenal plan to sign Morgan Schneiderlin at the end of the season, and will offer Southampton £15 million for his services.

Arsenal tried to sign the French international last summer, but he was one player that Southampton did not want to sell despite a major clear-out of players that raised some serious cash for the South Coast club.

Arsenal have been frustrating at times to watch this season but signing Gabriel will give them some stability and take pressure off Sanchez and company in tight games. Arsenal may be three points behind Southampton right now, but they would be confident of finishing ahead of the Saints come May.
Arsenal are unarguably still a great draw for fans and players alike and Schneiderlin is no different – it’s not just the possibility of Champions League football every year but also the chance of playing with far better players alongside him, and taking his game to a new level.
Even now Southampton will be reluctant to let him go, and should they in fact qualify for the Champions League may not have to, as that has all along been his reason for wanting to leave.

Two days ago we reported on a story on talkSport that suggested Southampton manager Ronald Koeman would be willing to let him leave this month if he is able to sign Feyenoord star Jordy Clasie.

So whether it is this month or next summer the midfielder appears to be the Gunners top target, but somehow we cannot imagine he will leave for as little as £15 million when £26 million sounds like a more realistic figure to us.
